Renowned Italian restaurateur and best-selling cookbook author Lidia Bastianich is coming to the Lehigh Valley on June 2, 2023 to host the NCC Food & Wine Gala at the Wind Creek Bethlehem. How to Enter the Contest a. To participate in the contest, you must do one of the following by 11:59 pm, May 30, 2023:
-Donate $100 to receive an invite to an exclusive meet-and-greet with Lidia at our PBS39 studios before the Gala, a signed copy of her latest cookbook, and an automatic entry into the giveaway.
-Register for the contest here, no purchase necessary.
b. PBS39 is not responsible for a submission that is lost, undelivered or misdirected, or for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the Internet, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches.
c. From all entries, ONE winner will be chosen at random on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. The winner will be notified by email. Prize must be claimed within 24 hours.
Eligibility Restrictions a. The contest is open to adults (18 years or older) who currently reside in the United States. Employees of PBS39, volunteer staff members managing the contest, and the members of their households are ineligible to participate in the contest or win. Though participants can register for PBS39 through multiple email addresses, we will only consider one entry per person.
The Prize Description a. The prize will consist of two (2) tickets to the NCC Food & Wine Gala, valued at $500 each ($1,000 total).
b. All costs and expenses not specifically listed in the prize description are the responsibility of the winner. No cash or other substitution, assignment or transfer of any prize is permitted, except by Sponsor.
c. PBS39 reserves the right to make changes to the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of PBS39 any prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, PBS39 reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.
d. The winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes. The winner is responsible for all fees and expenses associated with the acceptance, use, and/or misuse of the prize not expressly included in the prize description. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
e. If eligible and selected as prizewinner, the prize may be picked up at the office of PBS39, 839 Sesame St., Bethlehem, PA during business hours (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). The prize may also be shipped by PBS39 upon the winner’s provision of certification of eligibility and an executed prize receipt and publicity release. A valid email address, registered with PBS39, is required as the prize will be transferred via email.
Selection of Winner a. Decisions of station management with respect to the contest are final.
b. The grand prize winner will be selected at random on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from all eligible entries received by the deadline on Wednesday, May 30, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
c. Entrants need not be present to win. PBS39 will contact the winner via their registered PBS39 email address. If the winner does not claim the prize within 24 hours of notification, that contestant will forfeit the prize and an alternate winner will be selected and notified in order from the alternate entries drawn.
Conditions a. Payment of all federal, state, and local taxes is the sole responsibility of the winner.
b. By participating in the contest, the winner agrees to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize. The winner must also sign a prize receipt and certify compliance with all eligibility requirements prior to release of the prize.
c. PBS39, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person for tampering with the entry process or with the operation of PBS39 or who is otherwise in violation of the rules.
d. Additional travel costs and other expenses associated with the fulfillment of the prize are the responsibility of the winner and not the responsibility of PBS39 or the Contest Sponsor.
Right to Make Changes a. PBS39 reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest. There is no substitution, transfer, assignment, or cash equivalent for prizes.

Responsibilities a. PBS39 is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize, or cancellation of the performance.
