Testimonials From PBS39 Viewers

Thanks PBS39 for bringing us shows like “History Detectives.” It combines all my favorite entities: mystery, suspense…and antiques! There’s nothing else like it on TV. PBS39 is my source for one-of-a-kind programs, like “History Detectives.”

My Story: Programs that are commercial free.  Clean programming without the bad language or sexual suggestions.  I also love the diversified programing where I can watch an educational program one minute and then watch someone like David Foster the next.   I love to watch the music that I have known and loved as I have gone through my life as in the outside concerts that are recorded and shown on your station - famous groups like the Moody Blues,  etc. and then there is David Foster who finds people that become famous and have been in our lives for years.  The comedy shows that you can see that are clean programming.  I enjoy the freedom to enjoy your programs that bring back great memories and I can enjoy.  Thanks PBS.

What a treasure when I found  WLVT!  Your programming is superb. I  am  addicted to the BBC show "Eastenders"--and  you are the only station that plays it. PLEASE KEEP IT ON THE AIR!! Your saturday afternnon cooking shows are just a delight.  Your Tempo magazine is a true winner.

I have sumitted my  letter to Gov. Rendell to support you.

I know you will continue with your integrity and high standards in the future. Thank You.

PBS 39 is My Source for: documentaries, I just watched clips from old time movies with James Cagney, It brought great memories back when my mom use to watch these movies when I was little, I just think its great for us and for the next generation to understand the way the cinema began and how it inspires us in so many ways, I was so inspired by the classic movies that I actually, persued extra work on a couple of movie sets and it was not easy work but very interesting and depending on the director alot of fun, James Cagney was right, its a job!  I feel that this channel is great for learning, I just watched a opera show, I always wanted to go to the metropolitan opera but never had the money to go, but thanks to pbs39, I got to see at the age of 41, the metropolitan opera, it was amazing, I loved it, and I got to see and listen to what people always raived about. Thank You for this moment!  Please keep pbs39, going for future generations.

Testimonials From PBS39 Viewers

A wonderfully wide range of programs that help me instill in my children a life long love of learning. I love when Emily Elizabeth reads a "Speckle" story to Clifford, and then ends with "Isn't reading great?!" That is our motto at home. We love to learn and read and grow. I believe PBS makes each of us a better person by meeting us all on that common ground of knowledge! IT helps us to interact across age barriers and draws us closer as we learn together!  There is a very true statement: "People die for lack of knowledge." Without PBS you will see our children (as well as ourselves) regress into a less-than state.

Our favorite programs are Super WHY!, Word Girl, Fetch!, Curious George, and Clifford for the kids.

For us it is The Antiques Road Show, and As Time Goes By

Thank you and we fully support all you are doing!

My daughter and I love the kids’ lineup on PBS39. Sesame Street is her favorite—and mine, too! I know she’s learning and having fun at the same time. What else could a mom ask for? PBS39 is my source for children’s programs I can trust.

Educational, commercial-free children's programming, and high-quality, commercial-free entertainment.

My family doesn't subscribe to any type of cable or satellite TV services.  We just can't stand commercials!  PBS is all we need, and we rely on it daily. My kids and I especially love: Curious George, Sesame Street, Arthur, Martha Speaks, and Caillou. And the adults in the household especially love: Masterpiece Mystery and Masterpiece Classic, and History Detectives.  We also enjoy all the other educational shows like Nature, Nova, American Experience, and so on.Recently we've also enjoyed watching Create on the weekends for the cooking, travel, and craft shows.

Basically we just love PBS 39, it is our one-and-only TV station!

My favorite programs are the British comedies: Keeping up Appearances, As Time Goes By, Are You Being Served and Waiting for God.  I look forward to Saturday evening to see these shows.  Public Broadcasting has quality programming, without commercials.
